Wassup my bro/sis...
I feel that this blog is going great, with people having the courage to open themselves to others. I am behind you guys (and gals if you'd wish) and I may be quite clumsy encouraging others but I do want to share something... :)
Our problems range from the trivial (like missing the bus) to the great (getting blasted by someone about 16 ranks above you)...all these pains are in our lives, and they hurt.
Do we act pious in the face of trouble? Acting pious might seem correct on 1st sight...but is it what God just wants from us? Godly people being pious?
I guess one point that I miss often is that God wants us to question him. Usually I would silently accept the circumstances, grieve, pray about it and act like nothing wrong happened. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it but there's something missing...questioning him!
Remember Moses questioning God in Exodus 33? Abraham frankly asking God to justify his destruciton of Sodom? Job and his many complaints to God? Being frank with God is what God desires.
They questioned God, debated with Him and struggled with Him. In the end their queries were answered and their relationship with God was closer, the most important thing in our lives. These close friends of God had doubts which sprung their intimacy with God. It isn't sissy to complain to God.
Well, the 1st step to healing is to release your resentment to him, let go of your bitterness, then can we realize that God acts for the good of us. Pain fuels passion for God, thorugh the fire may we all be purified.
Just like to end off with this verse I met upon reading the Bible and here it goes...
'Though he may bring us grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailling love.' (Lamentations 33:32)
God is love and open yourselves to him. Amen.
Joshua
(now I remember to sign off with my own name)
So remember, next time you bite your lips, it's for your own good. ;)
