hey guys! and girls! how was first day? hope you all enjoyed it one way or another.

i came across this small sharing note as i did QT ytd. those who have the One Year NIV NT Devotional should have seen it.

Why was the Virgin Birth so important to the Christian faith?
In order to be the perfect sacrifice for sin, Jesus Christ had to be free from the sinful nature passed on from Adam to all other human beings.
Because he was born of a woman, he was a human being; but because he was the Son of God, he was born without any trace of human sin.
He was both fully human and fully devine.

Because lived as a man, we know that he fully understands our experiences and struggles.
Because he is God, he has the power and authority to deliver us from sin.
We can tell him all our thoughts, feelings and needs.
He has been where we are now, and he has the ability to help.

like i'd shared on the 2nd day of the retreat, we often think we've learnt so much about the Bible, about God, that we sometimes oversee the gold in the Word of God. i thought this thought of the day was really encouraging and it's something i didn't really know about, or thought about. it also goes to show the degree of seriousness and indepth-ness i go into when i do my QT or Bible Study. so i hope we'll all be encouraged, and continue our personal worship and quiet time with God. being serious and going indepth. =) and always remember that Christ has been there, and done that. our teenager blues and worries, Jesus has gone through them as well. thus as the note has shown us, He has the ability to help. take care all my studying and working brothers and sisters in Christ! =)
