Hello Gals/Guys!

Did you pick up your Bible today? Well, hope your week has been good and do remember to put God first in your lives. Addictions can really chew away from our relationship with God, even when you don't know it's happening. Are we addicted to our screens? Hope you are not!

Did you guys remember the lessons presented on Sat and Sun? Maybe a quick look through the worksheets and notes would help. It is good to internalise and apply the lessons we have the privilege of listening to.

Our prayers are still with Li Wei, who is still in the stages of recovery. We welcome anyone who would like to donate blood for her. Please contact Vincent if you would like to donate.

Well, allow me to present to you the photos taken for the past weekend, and I hope you guys enjoy it.

Youth Saturday Service (12th May 07)

Saturday saw the dawn of a new sermon series: The Weapons of the Devil: BAD. The sermon touches upon what Satan uses to deceive us from having a deep relationship with Our Father. Do they apply to you/me?

We had Vinzzz present to us the first sermon of the series, and his sermon was titled 'Busyness' and the key verse was Matt 4:1-4. We have to ask ourselves: 'What are we fighting for?'. Remember we have a choice to make the right response.

And let's move on with the photos.

Before service started, the worship team came down early to rehearse:

Best pals Nizamsimmo and Raimy-do!

D&D: Darren and Daryl

Then, aervice officially started and the worship team came up to lead us! Here's a shot of the projector in action.

The team and screen:

After that, Vinzzz came up on stage to present his sermon. Here are some shots:

Right after his message came the Hymn of Response. Here are the youth standing up from their seats:

As the music died down, Vinzzz took the stage for announcements!

Service may have ended, but the fellowship with one another didn't.

Here's Jamie and Nathan giving us a 'V' and smiles...and Elliot trying to spoil the shot.

Eman and Vinzzz encouraging us: 'You can do it!'

A shot of Raimy getting slammed into by Eman and Darren:

At the end...it's 3 hunks telling us, 'It's time to go...and eat dinner!'

Sunday Service (13th May 07)

The 13th was Mothers' Day, and NLC sure had treats in store for all parents! We had the privilege of having Sis Pan Xiu Qiong coming down to share her testimony with us. Also, she serenaded the Church with songs during her sharing.

The sermon of the day was titled, 'Celebration for Our Parents - A Demonstration of God's Grace!', given to us by our very humorous senior pastor, Rev Dr Abraham Lee. Meanwhile, Sis Deborah Ang was the interpreter. Did you show appreciation for your parents? Love is about understanding, action and assurance.

Instead of celebrating Mothers' Day, NLC celebrated Parents' Day and held a lunch to honour them. It was certainly a huge luncheon and everyone had a good time in the MPH...

The morning started with some 'handsomeness', Nathan and Zhongyang posing for this one:

Elliot was overawed by high-def durians.

Deacon Chia was busy welcoming churchgoers:

And here's Vinzzz and Maria posing away.

Service started on schedule, and here is Uncle Zhou noticing my camera!

At the start the congregation was invited to shake hands with one another:

Worship was up next, and the team led us in melodies that filled the hall.

Not to forget the support from PA/MM!

Then, Rev Choo came up for the Pastoral Prayer:

The worship team took their leave for the next item:

Sis Pan took the stage as she shared her testimony:

Here is Kaisiang, Zi Xuan and Zi Xin posing in their pews. Sorry Kaisiang you blinked :)

Elder Ong shot here with the crowd behind:

Sis Pan also sang for us too! Here she is leading us in this one.

Rev Dr Lee and Sis Deborah take the stage and lead us in singing a perrenial favorite, a song also made popular by Fernleaf.

And here's a close-up of the both of them:

The message followed after the singing, and here's a shot of Rev Dr Lee, Sis Deborah and the rostrum.

Rev Dr Lee was lively on stage...do you remember what no. was that?

Reach One More for Jesus! Amen!

After the message, the worship team came up and led us in the Hymn of Response, 'My Utmost for You'.

Tithing was next and here are the usherers collecting the tithes.

After the tithes were collected, everyone sang the Doxology:

After that, NLC had suprise gifts for all parents! Here is Deaconess Lisa seen instructing from the front:

Welcoming new friends to NLC!

Here is Elder Ong at the end of the announcements before the Big Lunch!

At the end of service, churchgoers made their way out of the hall.

Not to forget, it was Olivia's 13th Birthday! I didn't get to touch the cake haha.

Johan kinda took over my camera after that and took some shots. Here's one with the Ongs in in:

The rain was quite heavy during the lunch!

Looking confused in the lobby...

Rev Dr Lee going around the tables and shaking hands:

And here's a shot of Amos and Brenda.

A picture of Kelvin's table (and the rest of the MPH too).

Phew! That was a whole load of pictures! There are almost 180 of them in total and again, do take a look as there are good pics in there too.
