Hello Brothers and Sisters!

The weekend certainly a memorable one and did you all have a fruitful time? We had the privilege of having Joseph coming down to share his message with us on Sat. Also, NLC kicked off the ROMJ campaign with the first service in the main sanctuary, which was followed by a massive '100 Dishes' Big Luncheon.

Our prayers also go out for Sister Li Wei, who is currently recovering back to a stable condition. Thanks to all who have prayed for her, and continue to do so! She hasn't fully recovered yet, God is in full control of the situation and he hears our prayers. Please keep her in our prayers.

Wthout further ado, allow me to present the photos of the past 2 days. Hope you enjoy them.

Saturday Youth Service (05 May 07)

Every Saturday is something to look forward to in NLYM, and this Sat Service was certainly one to remember. We had the privilege of Joseph coming down to present his message to us. He taught us on 'The Omni-Potence of God'. Still need a little reminder? Looking up Romans 1: 18-25 would help.

The afternoon started with the worship team coming down early for rehearsal:

In the meantime, Jamie was in the thick of PSP action, and grogy Ruth had Elliot for company.

Here are some gals posed for a nice group picture (with Elliot's hand)

The worship team started off the service and here are a few shots during worship.

Worship was followed by the sermon, and we had Joseph present 'The Omni-Potence of God'. Do you remember his message? It was quite important.

Hymn of Response came right after, and here are some of the shots taken. Later, Joseph came up on stage and asked for some of us to come forward in humility and dedicate our lives to God. Together we prayed for all in the service.

Here's a shot of Raimy under the spotlight:

Vinzzz came up on stage and made some announcements:

Service ended and the activity didn't stop there! Here are some peeps hanging out on stage:

Later, we made our way down to plan for dinner! Some guys came together for this shot.

And Nathan with his 'hot' school fashion:

We finally decided on Burger King in Far East and here's a shot of us going to order (not by me):

After having our fill, we made our own ways back. Here are 3 handsome dudes bidding us farewell (not by me).

Sunday Service (06 May 07)

This Sunday was indeed a special one! It was the first time the main sanctuary was open for service and NLC kicked off the ROMJ campaign! Rev Dr Lee shared his message titled, 'Running Empty? Come Get Energized!', with Deaconess Lisa doing the interpretation. Reference verse was John 3:16-17.

Right after that, the congregation was treated to the '100 Dishes' Luncheon and hungry stomachs made short work of the food! There was a wide range of delicious dishes available, and they all were gobbled up. Thanks goes out to those who were involved in the set up and clean up of the luncheon! It was a massive project and thank God it went on well.

Here is a shot of the sanctuary before the service started:

Tim and Joel unbeat before their time on stage.

Usherers welcome in the congregation:

Service started off with worship, with the worship team and church choir sharing the stage.

The PA and MM in the 'thick of action':

Rev Choo comes up on stage to lead us in the Pastoral Prayer.

It's message time and we have Rev Dr Lee presenting to us 'Running Empty? Come Get Energized!'. Not to forget, Sis Shui Yu came up to share her testimony with us too.

Banners galore! Some of our youth released the banners in fine synchronization.

Here is Rev Dr Lee and Deaconess Lisa turning behind to read the scripture on screen.

See anything wrong with this picture? Look at where the speaker and interpreter is standing...

A hand for Jesus! Amen...

As the sermon ended, the worship team performed 'My Times are in Your Hand', as the usherers collected the tithes.

Rev Choo and Elder Jeff came up to lead us in the Holy Communion. 'When I Survey the Wonderous Cross' filled the hall, as the bread and cup were distributed out to the congregation.

That was followed by the Love Offering collection, a fund dedicated for the needy in church.

After the closing prayer, the announcements followed and we welcomed new friends to NLC!

As service ended, we moved out from the sanctuary to the MPH beside...for the '100 Dishes' Big Luncheon! Boy was the crowd big!

Bro Kim San savours some 'Specialty Food' while the Mee Siam Aunty doles out more portions...

Managed to get this table group picture!

All big luncheons have a clean-up, and here are some shots of youth in action (centre one's not by me):

And at the end of all big clean-ups there's a break! Here Jeremy and Zhongli gulp to quench their thrist.

That was sure a huge bunch of pictures! Well, these are just a few of the shots taken during the 2 days. There is a total of about 180 of them and I highly recommend you to check them out. Maybe you might find a potential MSN display pic in there haha. The URLs for the album are found below:
